BONJOUR HI!

Science blinded me with science.

Science blinded me with science.

Dr. Nathalie Nguyen-Quoc Ouellette (that's me!) is an observational astrophysicist and science communicator based out of Montréal, Canada. I am the Deputy Director of the Trottier Institute for Research on Exoplanets (iREx) at the Université de Montréal and the Observatoire du Mont-Mégantic, as well as the Canadian Outreach Scientist for the JWST working with the Canadian Space Agency. I am also an active researcher on the topics of galaxy formation and evolution.

Here, you will find information about me, my research, my outreach activities, how to best contact me, and a smattering of other random stuff I've deemed pertinent enough to include. You'll find many things underlined throughout my website. These are all hyperlinks that I encourage you to click (for your edutainment).

You’ll also find my blog here which includes some fun space trivia, a behind the scenes look at what it's like to be a professional astrophysicist, some exciting science news, and answers to questions I’ve gotten from the public! Much of my blog was written while I was running from my Queen's Observatory blog from my time there as a Coordinator. Unfortunately, I’ve had a hard time keeping up with it since becoming a nearly full-time professional science communicator in 2017, but that’s just how it goes!

I take science very seriously, but I try not to take myself too seriously at the same time! Science has to be approached with a rigorous work ethic and sharp critical thinking, but it's also just so much fun to do and talk about. I hope my love for space will come through here.

Science is for everyone; let me tell you about it!
